Where to Purchase:

(*I received a copy from Tour host. I'm not a paid reviewer. All thoughts expressed are my own*)

So Inner Core..is SOOOO much better than Layers ( book#1) Now I'm not saying this as a disrespect to the author because we all know reading my review of Layers (Review Here) will tell you I very much enjoyed it. But with that said Inner Core in my opinion was better. Reason being is I think is I had more of a feel of the main characters and was able to connect a whole lot more.

Just like Layers, Inner Core is told mostly in the POV of Hayley and with a chapter in the end for Daniel. In this story Daniel seem to be a lot more mellow, less angry or maybe I just got use to how he acts in the first book and found it normal in the second. Whatever the case may be I actually really Loved him in this book. He and Hayley are good together. It's like a worth the wait kind of story. Daniel was ready for the next step in their relationship but Hayley wasn't sure of what she wanted. Hayley was kind of funny to me in the way she acted sometimes. She would be mad and would need space. Which space for her was like a weeks time or so, I'd say that's a long time for space.  Once she figured herself out and realizes what she really wants (which happens after something traumatic took place) She finally see that life is precious and that ever little moment counts. Its moments like that that make you see that all decisions/ choices with love or matters of the heart are always important. You never know what might happen when your love ones leave out the front door. There was a lot to this story that was sweet, romantic, sexy, and yes even dramafied :P The good thing is it all worked together to make one Amazing book!

All in all I really enjoy Inner Core. Would I recommend it? Yes but first you will have to read Layers. No skipping. Inner Core does have a HEA ending. Which is very sweet and heart warming. I really love how the story ended I was not disappointed at all :) If you are looking for a Contemporary romance to read I would tell you to pick up this series today!

  1. I love it when a sequel not only lives up to book 1 but surpasses it! I never expect it so it's always a great outcome. Glad you liked this one, Brenna! It sounds like a great series and one that is very character driven which is the #1 reason I'd pick up a book!
