{{AToMR Tours}} Review Opp: WAITING ON MY REASON by DEVON ASHLEY

Title: Waiting on My Reason
Author: Devon Ashley
Released: Jan. 21st 2014

Synopsis:
Everything happens for a reason. I just wish I knew the why behind mine.

Five years ago, graduation wasn’t what it was supposed to be. Publicly humiliated, Melanie was more than happy to kiss off her high school sweetheart. But in doing so, she lost more than just her boyfriend, she lost the only other guy she truly cared for – his best friend, Shane.

Shane loathed the idea of returning to his small hometown. He just wanted to get in, help his best friend manage a legal matter, and get the hell back out again. But he wasn’t expecting to run into the one girl who got away, who always held a piece of his heart despite the animosity that lingered. Melanie could’ve been the one, but after everything that happened, trust was a serious issue.

She just wanted to do right by her son. He just wanted to do right by his best friend. And just when they thought they could find the strength to forgive the sins of the past, more secrets and lies bubble to the surface, threatening to push them irrevocably apart.

Waiting On My Reason was a charmingly enjoyable read with moments filled with love, sadness and suspense. I enjoyed going on the emotional/heart warming journey with Melanie as she learns to do want is best for her son and her heart.

Waiting On My Reason it told in the duel POV between Melanie and Shane. I don't know how many time this is a review and I probably will never stop because it true when I say I LOVE it when the story is Duel POV switching between the two main characters. Reason I LOVE it so much is because you get a full view into both characters and never really end up wondering about what is going on in the other characters head. In Waiting On My Reason it's no different it was Awesomely good to have the story being told by Melanie and Shane. Shane was my favorite though, Melanie wasn't a bad character but Shane has her topped. I loved the way he is with Melanie's son. Very sweet. The storyline was pretty good, kind of reminded me of something like Safe Haven, where she is trying to stay hidden from her past.. in a way that's how Melanie is to me. She is just trying to stay hidden and protect her son. There was a scene towards the end that had me tearing up and when it turned out to be something different then I thought I was like 'Devon you tricky author'. I enjoyed the way the story ended but I kind of wish there was an Epilogue, so we could see more into the future of Melanie and Shane.

All in all I did enjoy Waiting On My Reason. I have enjoyed a few other reads by Devon and she is a wonderful author.
